Pop star Katy Perry has been selected Artist of the Year at the NARM Music Awards ceremony in California.
The 27-year-old singer was honored for her successful year in singing in Culver City, California, on Thursday, reported Contactmusic.
The ‘Part of Me’ hitmaker impressive new image is undoubtedly bringing her good luck – she received the Artist of the Year award at the stage.
Katy Perry is very popular for her bright, colourful outfits and playful candy-inspired accessories, has discarded the cupcake dresses and electric blue hair for a spooky new look.
“Katy’s music was absolutely everywhere over the past year and her dominance of the singles charts is a nearly unprecedented accomplishment. She has unquestionably blossomed into a true global superstar and has earned this award in every sense of the word,” said NARM chairman Jim Donio.
The popular Singer Lionel Richie was also the star of the night as he received the prestigious Chairman’s Award for constant artistic success.
