Katy Perry has been announced as another performer at Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas at the end of this month.
Another popular musical star is added to the lineup of Billboard Awards 2012 ceremony. Now it is sure that Katy Perry is going to perform at the gig and showcase one of her latest songs “Wide Awake” from her album repackage, “Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection”.
Katy receives a total of nine nominations at the awards show throughout this year.
Over the past four years, Katy Perry has been famous to be one of the most booming pop stars of her time. The ‘Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection’ features three new songs.
She won a lot of awards during this year which is milestone for her. She got awards for Top Artist, Top Digital Songs Artist, Top Radio Songs Artist, Top Pop Artist, Top Hot 100 Song, Top Female Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Digital Song and Top Pop Song.
The Billboard Music Awards also select popular pop stars such as Adele, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Lil Wayne. The event will be hosted by “Modern Family” co-stars Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell.
Talking about her busy year, she said “that tour was so life-changing for me. I learned so much, I went through so much along the way.”
The Billboard Music Awards 2012 colourful ceremony will take place at the MGM Grand Arena and air live May 20 on ABC at 8 p.m. EST.
